A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, has accused the minority leader of the Senate, Senator Abba Moro of misleading the Senate by sponsoring a motion against the Benue State government.
Onjeh, the 2023 Senatorial Candidate for Benue South made this assertion in response to the motion titled, “Urgent Need to Halt the Erosion of Democracy: The Dissolution of Elected Councils in Benue State,” sponsored by Sen. Abba Moro on Friday.
Onjeh said “Sen. Moro had deliberately lied to mislead the Senate and by extension all Nigerians into supporting his selfish and partisan motion, adding that the local government administrations in Benue State were not arbitrarily dissolved by the state government as alleged but only suspended on the recommendation of the Benue State House of Assembly, following the establishment of a prima facia case of financial impropriety against the local government executives.
